Marissa Barcelos, LMFT, LPCC
Co-Founder
Clinical Supervisor

I am so glad you are here. My name is Marissa Barcelos and I have a heart for working with children, teens, adults, new parents, and families. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and provide a safe space for clients to be themselves. I have vast experience with school-based counseling, working with elementary, middle school, and high school ages, as well as with Special Education. I have experience running teen anger management groups, trained in Theraplay and Play Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing with teens. I love to support kids and teens through changes, teach coping skills, how to communicate big emotions and needs, decreasing self-harm, and navigating social media/bullying and peer relationships.

I am trained in Perinatal and Postpartum Mental health and have a heart for working with parents who are navigating life transitions, miscarriage, infertility, pregnancy, parenthood, and postpartum. If you are feeling overwhelmed, down, easily frustrated, or anxious, you are not alone. I understand the joy and fear of being a parent, the "what do I do now?," and the journey of rediscovering who you are.

I am EMDR trained and have a trauma focused background. I have a strength based, attachment, and client centered style. My hope is to help you learn the tools to feel less anxious, overwhelmed, angry, provide the space for you to talk about the scary stuff, and help you thrive.
