Denae Takemoto, LMFT
Sometimes life begins to feel heavy. Our past and present life experiences can bring pain, confusion, and other emotions and feelings that begin to feel too heavy to hold on our own. As a therapist, I’m here to help you hold these experiences, as we work together on your healing journey. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and provide a safe space. I’m a trauma focused therapist that also works from an attachment-based and family-systems approach. I have a heart for working with first responders and their families as they navigate their unique life experiences. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and families that are experiencing a wide range of challenges. Whether you’re beginning your therapy journey or continuing it, my goal is to help you feel supported and empowered to reach your goals.
I’m Denae Takemoto and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing therapy for the past 6 years in the Central Valley. I have experience working in an agency setting and school/community-based settings which has given me the tools to provide therapy for a diverse range of people and challenges. My therapeutic experiences and interests include trauma focused approaches, helping others learn about their attachment styles, navigating anxiety and depression, personality disorders, strengthening self-worth, family focused approaches, and relationship conflict.
It’s important to me to meet you where you’re at in life and create an inviting, open space where you can learn more about yourself and your strengths. I invite you to take this journey with me and I look forward to working with you!
